Keith and Nicole announced today that their two-year old daughter, Sunday Rose, has a baby sister! Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born through a gestational carrier (what we here at The Farm call a “sarah-gut” mama) at Nashville’s Centennial Womens Hospital on December 28, 2010. Faith Margaret is Urban and Kidman’s biological daughter.
The proud parents issued the following statement: Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret. No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.

Charlie Daniels’ main barn at his Twin Pines Ranch in Wilson County has burned to the ground. The fire started around 7:30 pm Friday night and animals that were in the barn at the time did die from the blaze. Charlie Daniels’ personal manager says the country music legend was not at home nor was his wife when the fire broke out. The barn and the memorabilia inside were destroyed. The cost of the loss is not yet know, neither is the cause of the fire. This is the same property where parts of the George Strait movie “Pure Country 2″ were shot in 2009.
“I’m trying to be in the moment and really enjoy my pregnancy,” says the singer, who in 2009 released a collection of children’s songs titled Lullaby and is now working on a new children’s album. “I feel really lucky.”

Just a few short weeks after announcing their engagement, Shania and Frederic are now married.
The two were married on New Years Day at sunset at a private mansion in Rincon, Puerto Rico, in front of 40 of their closest family and friends, this is according to Shania’s manager.
Its reported that the guests were treated to a private fireworks show Friday night. After the couple exchanged their vows, the entire wedding sang the song, “All You Need Is Love.” Reportedly, Shania sang at the reception afterward.

Around 4 a.m. Christmas morning Dierks tweeted “Say what u want about santa’s physique, but no arguing his impeccable timing! evie wanted a little sis for Xmas & JORDAN just arrived!” He later tweeted “she chose the banjo driven part of mumford & sons ‘awake my soul’ as her walk on music . . . could be a troublesome sign.

December was the month for Nashville babies. On December 13th, Josh Turner and wife, Jennifer welcomed their third son, Crawford Marion Turner who weighed in at 6 lbs 15 oz . A few days later, December 17th, Jay DeMarcus and wife, Allison welcomed their first baby, Madeline Leigh DeMarcus weighing in at 6 lbs 9 oz. Congrats to all the new Moms and Dads…… and big brothers and sisters!
Eddie Montgomery is resting at home following a successful surgery earlier this week to treat prostate cancer. According to his publicist, Eddie’s doctors say that no further treatment should be needed.
It’s been a busy 2010 for Eddie and his duo partner, Troy Gentry, who just finished up their touring schedule Dec. 4. Eddie plans to spend the holidays with his family. After the holidays, Montgomery Gentry will be headed back out for a USO Tour in early 2011.
Schatzi Hageman, President and founder of Hot Schatz PR, has announced that her long-term professional relationship with Trace Adkins will be ending at the end of the year. Hageman and Adkins have worked together since 1998.
All press for Adkins will now be handled by Show Dog-Universal Music.
According to comments posted by Eddie Montgomery on Facebook and Twitter his wife, Tracy, has filed for divorce….. allegedly because she can’t deal with his prostate cancer diagnosis. In his posts he stated “U find out u got cancer then u found out ur wife can’t handle that so she files for a divorce … merry christmas” Montgomery also posted “She says she’s a Christian wow … I think I need to get her a bracelet ‘what would Jesus do’ ’cause I hope he [is] still here with me.”
Prayers continue to go out to Eddie during this difficult time, which has now become even more difficult.
